The Explora Multi Up M X is a high-precision 5-axis CNC machining centre designed for nesting operations and milling of insulation panels for industrial vehicles, caravans, recreational vehicles, and transportation applications. Advanced 5-Axis Machining Technology
The Explora Multi Up M X is designed for precise machining of walls, floors, roofs, and insulation panels used in transportation and vehicle thermal insulation industries. Its robust machine structure ensures maximum reliability and machining accuracy.
Vacuum Table for Large Panels
The worktable is constructed from stratified phenolic resin with a gridded surface, allowing operators to position gaskets in multiple configurations and create customized vacuum zones for secure clamping of large panels and wide elements.
High-Power Milling Head
The machine features a powerful 2-axis single-sided milling head combined with a 17 kW liquid-cooled electrospindle. An integrated chiller unit maintains optimal spindle temperature for consistent high-performance machining.
TPA Numerical Control System
The TPA PC-based numerical control system operates on a Windows platform using ISO-standard programming language. The intuitive interface includes a 21.5” monitor with keyboard and mouse for easy machine operation.
A mobile smart user panel with warning lights, joystick controls, and cycle start/stop functions provides operators with efficient and flexible machine management.
Pendulum Machining for Continuous Production
Pendulum machining functionality allows operators to unload completed panels and load new panels during masked time, significantly increasing production efficiency and reducing downtime.
Robust Industrial Structure
The machine is built on a heavy-duty electrowelded steel structure designed to minimize vibrations and ensure long-term precision and reliability. The grillage structure supports the vacuum tables and linear guideways for stable portal movement during machining operations.
Efficient Tool Changer System
The Explora Multi Up M X can be equipped with a linear tool changer holding up to 16 tools plus an additional saw blade position for blades up to 400 mm diameter.
An optional dedicated tool magazine supports saw blades up to 500 mm diameter, while under-gantry tool magazine placement minimizes tool changing times.
Enhanced Accuracy Features
Optional camera systems allow precise centering of large panels using rototranslation cycles within the machining program. A laser line projector mounted on the portal assists operators in accurately aligning panels before machining.
Dry and Wet Machining Capabilities
The machine supports both dry and wet machining operations depending on the material and cutting strategy used.
